The Kerrier Community Mental Health Team based in Redruth has a vacancy for a Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner. This is an exciting time for the ICMHT’s in Cornwall as we are developing clinical processes to improve access to services. We have introduced a designated assessment team, looking to improve treatment and develop therapy options for service users. This progression will then allow for the development of our staff, with clear career progression for those who have therapy, leadership or management desires.

We are looking for people who have a core profession in mental health nursing, social work or occupational therapy to join our community team. You will need excellent communication skills and value team and interagency working. We need a person who can demonstrate passion and commitment to mental health issues, have an approach to excellent client centred care along with working flexibly as part of a team, to deliver innovative health and social care. This role has key functions in the treatment and care coordination of the management of clients with a severe and enduring mental illness. You will receive regular support and supervision from the Management and Leadership team. We are committed to continuing professional development and are implementing a regular programme for both individual and team development.
