Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust prides itself in striving to be an employer of choice.

All external appointments to the Trust will be required to attend a full Trust Corporate Induction which will be held at Carew House, Beacon Technology Park, Dunmere Road, Bodmin, PL31 2QN.

The induction programme is for all new staff and the length is dependent on the role you will be undertaking. It is an essential part of new staff training requirements and therefore attendance is mandatory.

Our Trust objectives are:

  • To deliver high quality care, safe and accessible services.
  • To maximise the potential of our workforce to deliver high quality care to patients
  • To achieve best value and ensure the Trust is sustainable and financially sound into the future
  • To diversify and develop services that meet commissioner and service user needs and expectations
  • To improve health and wellbeing by working in partnership to create life opportunities for our clients

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the Penwith community rehabilitation team which forms part of Penwith integrated care services.

You will be required to hold and manage a varied clinical caseload, formulating and delivering an individual occupational therapy treatment programme. You will work with patients to identify occupational therapy goals as part of the overall care plan and plan/implement patient centred interventions using graded activity to enable the patient to remain in their chosen home environment. The Penwith team operates an in-reach service to Edward Hain community hospital and as part of this post you will be expected to work with people both within the community and hospital settings.

You will need to have excellent organisational skills combined with a wide knowledge base and experience of working in older person’s services.

This is an ideal opportunity for an occupational therapist keen to develop his/her rehabilitation skills both within the community and community hospital settings, and experience working as part of a dynamic, progressive integrated multiagency, multidisciplinary team.

We will offer a supportive working environment in which to develop your clinical and interpersonal skills, a structured in-service training programme, appraisal and supervision system.
